Director of Core Strength
Jon is a Registered Exercise Professional (REPS) Level 3 and holds a number of professional qualifications including YMCA Personal Trainer Level 1, Triathlon Coach, NLP Practitioner and many more leisure industry and out door qualifications and skills. Through his commitment to his continual professional development Jon keeps abreast of the latest research and developments in fitness. This ensures that he is able to provide his clients with the most up-to-date, evidence-based training practices. As a keen tri-athlete Jon also applies his knowledge to his own personal training regime.
I believe that improving your core strength and stability benefits all individuals whatever their athletic ability, increasing performance and reducing the risk of injury. My approach to personal training is to motivate individuals to push themselves a little further, out of their comfort zone. I like to think outside the box to create innovative ways to exercise but at the same time have fun and achieve results.
Jon has trained top national tennis players, GB lacrosse athletes, fitness professionals and many individuals who want to improve their quality of life through improving health, mobility and wellbeing. He established Core Strength Training in 2002 at Halton Lawn Tennis Club. Under his management the gym flourished and is now a well established and sought after gym environment to train in.
Personal Trainer / Sports Massage (Level 3)
Throughout his life Chris has been enthusiastic about sport and fitness. He strives to improve client’s overall strength and stability to promote improved athletic ability. Chris is a qualified level 3 PT and Sports masseur continually developing his knowledge of both nutrition and Fitness.
He is a successful natural bodybuilder after competing in World Finals in both 2012 and 2013. He also holds 3 British titles. With the nutrition and training knowledge of a bodybuilder he is an ideal trainer for anyone looking to improve strength or muscular development. He can apply his knowledge from bodybuilding for improving general fitness and well being.
Chris’ positive outlook on life clearly reflects on his clients and empowers them to make changes towards becoming a fitter, healthier individual.
As a sponsored Boditronics athlete he has an extensive knowledge of supplements and can provide specific advice for his client’s needs. As a determined individual himself, he helps clients achieve their goals through a challenging, yet enjoyable programme.
Dave graduated as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1995 and has over 13 years clinical expertise. Having worked in both the NHS and the MoD, he has a wide and extensive range of experience and postgraduate education in the assessment and management of musculoskeletal injuries sustained in sport, training and everyday life.
By Combining a range of skills including joint manipulation, stretching, education and exercise therapy, I can help rehabilitate the ‘whole’ individual to ensure recovery and empowerment to prevent a recurrence.
Dave integrates a variety of well recognised treatment approaches to musculoskeletal injury to ensure each client’s condition is managed according to its presentation or individual need.
Ben has been a Personal Trainer for 8 years where he has specialised in postural correction, injury rehabilitation and sport specific training. He has helped people train for marathons and iron man competitions and is adept at designing running programs for individuals.
Along with postural correction work Ben incorporates circuit training using body weight exercises, TRX and kettlebell work combined with nutritional advice to achieve results.
Jill has been a personal trainer for 5 years having studied for her personal trainer award in London in 2007.
Based in Core Strength Berkhamsted, she is a recognised Reps Level 3 Senior Advanced Instructor and Pre and post Natal fitness specialist.
Jill is also qualified in nutrition, kettlebells, boxing and suspension training among others, so she is fully qualified to train you in the gym, in your home or in the park – wherever and whenever!
