Paul Johnson
Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy
Paul Johnson
BTEC Dip. Level 5 (Oxford), Clinical Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy
Member of Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM)
Member of the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC),
I have always been a sporty person, and have been involved in sport at a high level. Sadly injuries took their toll on my body which resulted in me retiring in my early 20's. It is because of my injuries that I decided to retrain so that I could help others enjoy a long and active life doing the sports they enjoy.
As a husband and Dad of two beautiful girls Amy aged 6 and Katie aged 4, life is pretty full on, and i'm kept very much on my toes. When i do get time to myself i like to get out for a run, or cycle. I also enjoy swimming.
I completed a BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Clinical Sports and Remedial Massage at the Oxford School of Sports Massage (OSSM) in 2010. The OSSM is one of only five schools in the UK to be accredited by both the Institute of Sport & Remedial Massage (ISRM) and the Sports Massage Association (SMA). The Level 5 qualification is the highest in the UK, and is internationally recognised, and has become the benchmark for quality training, teaching the skills necessary for treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems, from common postural dysfunction to sports-related injuries.
I am a full member of both the
ISRM (Institute of sports and remedial massage)
Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC),
Both of these bodies require a stringent level of continuous professional development to ensure therapists are kept up to date with the latest developments in the profession.
I also hold full professional liability insurance for Sports Massage Practitioners.
